I took a pic of the vin # and my wife called the dmv and they said riverside county has a lien on it and I can't get it registered  until it's paid   Called riverside asser they said its to do with property taxs and won't give any more info  and the people that are selling it say they never put it in there name from when they bought it and don't no where the pink is  so either they don't no about it or just pawning off there problem on someone else  will see how this goes sounded to good to be true.

What are your options at this point? I've never had to deal with this situation before.

Well you should be able to find out how much is owed with a few phone calls and it might be worth it to pay on it or you buy it and strip the hull and cut it up. Weld over the vin with a few passes on the trailer and grind it smooth, rehab it and re register the trailer as a new one.

As of right now it's really only worth parts depending on how much is owed on it.

Anyone have a pic? I had an eliminator that went to riverside with a blown motor. Was black, red, yellow.and had "skin tight" on the deck? ( I didn't put it there)  :P .been looking for this boat. Last I heard was guy went to jail before we completed the transaction. He took it out and blew the motor the first day. Was supposed to pay me the balance and never did.my buddies cousin guaranteed they'd pay me the rest..... :banghead: 10 years ago...

So I am just curious, what did you have to do to get the title out of the lien? I am not familiar with how all that works.

So this boat I got has a tom pap sticker on the splash guard and looks like it had a blower on it at one time question is if the pump was set up for a blower motor how is it going to wrk with a lower horse power what's the difference in pump wrk

Do you no what size impeller is in it? Does it have a shoe and rideplate? What kind of HP are you planning on starting with?
Impeller size, loader ( the grate in the intake that directs water to the impeller), and shoe (cut and depth) are probably the main things
that might need to be different.

Just because it had a blower, doesn't necesarilly mean it had a lot of power. Maybe they just built the motor and did nothing with the pump. Who knows.

Figure out what parts are in the pump and about how much hp at what RPM you're gonna have, and go from there.
Once you get that info, someone here can give you an idea of a good baseline start. From there, you can start trying different things.

Nice boat. It looks like a good project.

Likely will work great. Your best bet is to run it and see what it does. You can't cut the impeller bigger... No sense in even pulling it apart if you have no idea where you are now.
