We used to grab old car hoods, trunk lids, etc. from Pops old neighbor that had a body shop and a lot of parts cars around........
You wanna have a screaming ride? An old Mercedes hood on a 1/4-2 mile hill (There was a 2 mile hill we used to run a bobsled down and tow back up) of substantial grade will blow away any sled made! FACT! steer? HAH! What a fun winter that was until the State Police took it from us.
The tetanus shots and ER visits, well, that was up to your parents Healthcare Provider........Had we found something like THAT THING! Beleive me, I had a '73 440 Suzuki Snomobile to tow things back up the hill, pops used and old CJ5 on the hard pack. But the Snowmobile, a rope through the bow eye, an open snow covered field...........and an agreement that I wasn't cleaning up any shit inside it?
