21 Daytona

I recently picked up a 79 21 Daytona. Don’t have much info on it. But I’m looking forward to getting it back on the water in a month or so. Just picked up a new BBC for it this past weekend. First pic is the day I picked it up

Cleaned really good and then used this series of polishes with a polisher for about 7 hours. It’s not perfect, but a far cry from what I started with.
The gel sucked up the polish until it started to get the shine back. Couple coats of wax and this is what I have. There are some stress crack a in the normal places and chips here and there, but still very solid.

I bought a steel chrome one at O'riellies, and a billet alum. one thru Summit. Both were for a small block chevy short water pump style.

I need that crank pulley and extension with pulley for my moroso scavenging pump. Just like he’s got on that Daytona I’m playing hell trying to find one. Right now my boat is set up for a pure 8 second ride. So I’m installing saddle tanks and an alternator. I’ll leave the little fuel cell where it is for the wet nitrous system.

I’ve used Joni Upholstery a couple times for my other boats. They have always done a good job for me. But don’t call, just go by. Not the best at returning calls.
