« on: August 06, 2012, 01:03:28 AM »
Hey everyone new to jet boats and had a few questions on what i got going, il give you a rundown, lived in phoenix almost whole life dad lives in havasu , grew up in parker every summer. I am so used to v drive flattys and hydros along with carreras and daycruisers that im kinda lost on what i have. I moved to casper wy not alot of cool stuff anywhere here but in the process of looking for a boat to play with found myself a 73 wriedt executive for 900.00 has a ford 460 hyd diverter berkley 12jc, i guess my concern is im a go fast kid and tom at jet boat performance gave me a little insight on the boat background but looking for anyone else who knows history or has one or ridden in one? im waiting for my new pump and steering from tom but until then googling and yahooing to no results. il post pics as well i just redid the rotted floor  pulled pump other than that hull is in pretty good shape just hope it can handle a bigger motor next yr...lol

i have a '77 wriedt stinger. theyre not as common a boat as other types it seems. right now im doing the transom plywood, then its onto stringers and floor. then trailer it out to paint :D

from the little i have found, they do seem to be decent boats.

Howdy just had to reply as I own a Wriedt executive 18' for the past 30 years - A great boat with it's v hull it takes the waves nice up here at the 1000 Islands in the ST Lawrence river- it tops out at mid to upper 60's - it has a 454 with Berkley 12JC nothing wild about stock - It has a drivers bucket seat with side and rear wrap around seat - twin swim platforms that I made - only thing I need is the engine hatch which was missing when I bought it - I am trying to make one this winter - you should enjoy your boat as it is built solid - I will do some photo's later and will look for yours - later
