You are supposed to lay the balsa with the scrim facing up and sand the scrim off after it has been fiberglassed down to the hull.

Just making sure you weren't trimming it to fit. Kinda seems backwards but that is what baltek and express composites say on application.

that boat is very thin. The balsa will help stiffen it up. The balsa itself is not heavy at all maybe 4 lbs. but it does soak up a lot of resin. I would say it would add maybe 25lbs to the whole layup of the boat.

So I read that as "Anything that goes in that's  F'd up is all Jake's fault". I like your style here, never take blame for anything you can blame on someone else! Well played.   No pressure Jake.

Ya, moved my stuff down river just a bit.  I heard Hidden Beaches is where all the cool kids are hanging out now, and I always wanted to see what it's like to be a cool kid! Plus I think Steve's making commission there, he's working all the deals.

You guy's are doing a fine job on this boat, looking forward to seeing it show up on the river.  Maybe we'll take a putt down to Mac over the 4th and say hi.
