Boat color
« on: May 07, 2015, 06:36:38 AM »
Trying to figure out the colors for my boat. You see any problem with a boat being all black? I know it will get hot in the sun, other than that what's your thoughts.

Black will burn your feet when you walk on the deck plus it shows water spots bad.

Black is one of those colors everyone love to look at, however on a boat it's the worst thing you could do! It shows everything, dirt oil stains. Not only that but it will burn you bad!!!

Just want something different. Out of the norm. Maybe a black bottom and differ colors on top then.

call sam he comes up with bad ass colors all the time and will paint your boat for you also. Like everyone said I'd stay away from black. I have always loved red and charcoal gray.  Also have always love the way lime green. Purple look together on white and charcoal or silver. Just my .02 good luck

Before you do it, talk to Brad.
He has direct experience with black boats and i'm sure would share his insight on it.

I say go for it !!!!! My boat is black k all around with grays on the bow yeah it's a pain to keep clean but hot sauce and elbow grease get out the water spots. Once a season I'll wax And buff her and she's looks like new it's the original gel coat too. Plus lack is a. Olof out of the norm for boats. Good luck!!!!

We had a black Renegade with maroon seats and black cut pile carpet.

It was frikken beautiful.

We appropriately name her "Bun Burner".

Any guesses as to why?

On a hundred degree day, you couldn't get near it, much less get in it.

My buddy has a black boat, it's not completely black but I was surprised that it wasn't that much hotter then white. I think all black would be bad ass. Put a towel down if it's too hot.
