Carburetor adjustment
« on: April 19, 2016, 04:38:27 AM »
I just had my 454 rebuilt and I was told the carburetor needs to be adjusted? Does anyone know where I can take my boat to get the Carburetor adjusted to my engine? Thanks

C and j engineering, bring him as much info about the motor as possible, even a build sheet if you have one on hand, don't just tell him it's a 454, he'll blow a gasket.. kinda grumpy but the best in the business

I strongly recommend taking your carb to C&J Engineering. John is simply the best there is. Everybody thinks they know how to work on carburetors but I've only been able to find one guy, and that's John. I've spent countless hours trying to fix carb issues and it's just not worth it. As soon as I buy something with a carb, it come straight off and goes to John.

Thanks bro , will try Carl for now , he's local and been building carbs for over 30years . He was recommended by my friend at blares speed shop in Pasadena and also my friends that all have schiada , but if he fails then I will give C&J a call . Only problem is I know very little on the motor so might have to do a little diggin to find out what's in it . But thanks for the recommendation brother .👍👍
