Well this is my new project boat 1976 Fantasy i am told it was a splash off a sleekcraft but is a little wider. first things first is to clean it all out, I have a friend lined up to do a clear coat for it and then we will start with the pump and move forward

 The engine is a 455 Olds thats been punched out .40 over with rebuilt "K" heads and a Nodular crank,  also has the oiling mods done (restricters)

 Today i spent scraping the old glue and carpet off the floor, Man what a bitch! But its done unless Jim say's different ( he probably will) but im lucky to have his help and knowledge. Here's a few pics as we go along.

A Fantasy, don't see too many of them around any longer. I don't know a thing about them except that the guy that built them was Worth Potts, he would later close out that shop (I don't know why) and then he started up Galaxie boats which I believe is still in biz? Maybe his kid runs it now or maybe they sold out, I don't know. Worth was a great guy and I first met him years ago wehn I was at Tahiti in the 70's. He'd come by to get to get something that he ran out of, he and Schuster were friends. Worth was a cowboy, always wore boots and a western style of shirt.

As fate would have it the guy that my mom is married to now was the guy that made all the windshields for Fantasy boats back in the day, for the tri hulls and such. 

Cool project...I know you weren't looking for any history but just thought I'd post it up before I forgot it. 

By the way, that's yet another of the countless splash's of a Southwind, not a Sleeky.

That sounds more like it I knew it started with a "S" I was close.

You Too, Huh?    Mine tells me what I've spent just about every day!  But only on the hull and pump.   

Hull and pump is just the beginning for me. Ive got alot of yelling coming my way

My guess is it will look like mine when you remove the floor

I had my stringers replaced by ultra custom boats before I installed the engine

The floor is a lot easier to replace than you might think.

So stringers should be even easier, RIGHT?
