screw mileage. its all about looking cool  I would run the headers 

its like putting mufflers on a car.  your mpg always goes down because you're always mashing on the go pedal because it sounds better.

you can put them on now but do you have the block off plates to cover up the holes?  logs and snails to headers should only take a couple hours to swap em and reroute the water lines...

I will get some block off plates next week and put them on now one more Q when I buy the gaskets should I get the round one that fit the headers or stick with the square ones that fit the heads. Thank for input guys.

So this what I'm going to do first I'm going to the rewarder shop in Ventura ca any body need and parts then get the headers baffles pulled out. I will have some block off plates made for the transum the come back to vegas and put them on.

there is a valve on the water line that requires pressure to open... in a jet more RPM = more pressure.  you can also run a valve to manually open/close it.



you generally dont run the water on unless you're over 1500 rpms or so.   when you go over those rpms and the valve opens up, the hot water exiting your motor hits the hot exhaust, turns to steam and gets pushed out of the pipes.  you let off the gas, the water stops.  excess water gets sent to the other "dump" line and out the back of the boat.  pretty simple.
