ok, If I remember right, the Gen VI had a 6 bolt t/c cover, and the Gen V had the 10 bolt cover.
on th 6 bolt cover, I used an aluminum plate to cover the crank p/u port (also got rid of the plastic one and used a gm alum one)
as far as the dizzy, it depends on the cam gear, roller vs flat tappet, so knowing what cam is in it would help for dizzy gear choice.
Why does the CPS need to be bypassed, and not just removed?
Is this motor fuel inj'd? or carb'd?
