I was reading up online on headers, some people are running them with no water and some are. What are the benefits or cons of each. I have no clue how to run the water lines and such. Like i said, extremely new to jet boats

"Over-the-transom" headers, OT headers, usually add a bit more horsepower and are louder.
No real model #'s , that I know of, just OT headers for a jet. The 2 main companies are Rewarder and Bassett.
Fords are a little harder to find than Chevy's or Olds', but they're out there.
Hooking up the water lines is pretty simple. There are ALOT of threads about it, try the search feature.
Cons: will burn the **%@ out of you if you touch them.
some insurance companies will not insure a boat with OT headers.

Depends on what you want to spend. Not a lot of nice used headers put there for a 460. You can go directly through Bassett and get some brand new ones. They start at around 800 I think it was for bare and go up from there depending on what you get. There are also some other brands but Bassett is one of the best. Be careful of you find some used ones. If they have rust in them around the weep holes they have in tendencies to blow out and take a lot of repair work
