My name is Chris. I am good friends with Tony (Aquaholic). I have an 18' 1973 Wriedt Stinger that I got from my ex girlfriend and it has been sitting for quite a while. I don't think it has seen water since 1994. Anyway, I am looking to fix it back up and get her running again. It has a Berkley pump and originally had a 440 in it. I took the 440 out, since I have different plans for that engine, and want to put in a blown and injected 392 Hemi. I pretty good with rebuilding cars, but boats seem to be a different animal. I was hoping I could get some help or input as far as engine mounts, adapter plate and exhaust setup I would need for the 392. I know the 392 is a rare engine and I'm sure boat parts for it are hard to find. However, I'm up for the challenge and have been been pretty successful in finding rare parts as I do for my cars. Any help at all with this project would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pics.

Bassett still has 392 headers, jet, new...and Tom has some hemi driveline stuff...392??? don't know, gotta call him...http://www.jetboatperformance.biz/pages/pto.html

Moon might have some stuff for the hemi. I know they did a couple years back.

Thanks for all the tips. Doing some research now and think I might have found found a couple of things so far. As far as the exhaust goes, is it legal to just run straight zoomie drag headers or do they have to be water cooled like the Bassett headers?

I don't think there are any laws for boat exhaust, if they don't go through the transom heat isn't a fire issue.

A blown hemi would look sweet !! 

So is it safe to assume this would be out of the question then?
