Title: Rays officially lost his mind!
Post by: OC2Vegas on March 26, 2010, 09:26:47 PM: Ray has made a deal on a new project to be delivered to him :banghead: Heres the pictures that he sent me.

Its a 26ft Cruiser with a mid cabin and an open bow. I believe it to be original, not a modified backyard project

LOL True!

It's actually 26', since the PO took a tape to it. This IS certifiably nuts though.......

I'll get some better pics up when it gets here. It's in much better condition than those phone pics show. Should be a fun build! there's about a truckload and a half of parts for it, a lot of them new, like the center rise exhaust manifolds, the engine hatch, etc. He figures about $7k just in the new parts, I think that is a little low estimate.

I think it's gonna stick with the 460's, since all that is there for them. What I wind up doing to them I haven't decided yet. Real work is building the floor and interior! But I get to do it MY way! :thumbup:

I think everyones gonna be involved in this thing at one point or another......... :sly:

Why is it always a Sleek Craft???? :screwy:

Tell me about it, my bank accounts are lookin at me sayin "WTF????" But yeah, I think that name might suit it best!

Oh, and Nordie, that IS a factory deck on it. It has some "optional" deck hatch, which I assume is just a hinged, padded lid that might be recessed in a bit. Haven't seen a pic of what it looks like yet, but it is listed as an option on the Ambassador. As are the two extra windows.

Been looking for almost a year to replace my late Biesemeyer Mini-Day that I loved for most local outings, unless Moo was needed for whatever reason. Couldn't find one I liked and this popped up from a bud in Roswell. I think it's a TAD bigger..........

Glasscutter, I'll never make Tuna Boat jokes again about yours............. ;D.............But I will have 2 jets and engines, however....... ::)

Seriously? ??? John, it's only 3' longer than the Wreidt! LOL! Yeah, gonna be fun to see what happens here! Daves got a raging 4" hard-on to get started on the engines.......... >:D As far as doing it right, gonna be in Daves hands from the power standpoint.......(Hear the bus Dave.....) lol.

Omar's band can be on the deck ANYTIME! I'll even install inverters! THAT would be cool!

We'll see where this float goes, :sly: Can't wait to see it beached next to John's Wreidt though! Skip challenged me to get it done by the Father's Day Big River trip. I think we can do this.
