Hey all, new to site.  In the last couple months I bought a project boat and a parts boat.  I need to redo the stringers and some other work. 

I was looking into using versa-stud for the lumber. 

Anybody ever used this?

I've never used versa-stud. I worked at Schiada for 6 years and we always used kiln-dried Doug fir . Gardena lumber usually stocks it in 2x10x16', hope that helps.

Kiln dryed is always the best choice. Anything else will have moisture still in the wood.
