No worries Tommy.  We were just trying to build this mostly out of my spare parts.  He'll just have to spring for an electric.  Take care of yourself and say hi to the gang for us...

Definately not in the last 10-11 years...It was in a storage facility until 1999 incomplete, then behind a warehouse until I picked it up...

So the motor is in and he's been flying at this thing trying to make the big Labor Day bash up here.  With a little luck, he may make it.

He's fabbed everything up and now has busted it back down to take some parts to the powder coater.

Ian made some aluminum rails that will ride in front of the Cav plate cross bar to mount the MSD and fuel pump/regulator.

He had that powercoated by Austin (Wajetboy online) and it looks bitchin!!!

Since the red blocks didnt really match very well with the reds in the paint, he just had those coated as well.   The color is Harley Black Pearl and it's beautiful!!!!!   If somebody needs something coated, let me know and you can see what Austins prices are compared to down south.  Dont know if it would save you folks something or not but he sure did a great job.

Thanks FU. There's no way I could ever describe how proud I am of this kid. He works hard, keeps his nose clean and is genuinely a good young man. Now how he turned out like that can only be attributable to having lived with me serving as a bad example and realizing he did want to turn out like that!!!  ;D

Tonight we got the rails a little bit closer to finished. Waiting on a few fitings to finish up the fuel lines. After that its time to do some wiring... yuck! Cant wait to get this thing into the water! Thanks for all the kind words, it just adds to the motivation!

We're close.  Just need to fab up some water and one water line and drop the dizzy in and she's ready to light.  The punkass kid did a really nice and clean job wiring it up.

Pics soon

Looking good John & Ian, should be able to make the big Labor Day festival this year, no? The only thing I don't like is the positioning of the MSD box, I'm thinking you're gonna shake it to death.

Tom- I was simply trying to save John & Ian some headaches when I made the comment about the MSD location.  Is it really necessary to post that picture up? If you're trying to prove me as ignorant or wrong, then do it in a factual stated argument, posting up that pic is the equivalent of sticking your tongue out at me.  I know people run MSD boxes in that spot all the time, I also know more than 1 that's had it shaken to death from the vibration.

No worries guys.  This is an MSD out of my spare parts bin so the cost is nuthin and I have a set of rubber isolators in the bin as well.  They might help and if it does take a crap......we can find a new spot. No biggee, just trying to get it to the big Labor Day bash.  We'll have all winter to fine tune and revise as needed.

Thanks Tommy..........congrats again (even though you are ahead of me)...
