Mucho better, I figured you would just flip it. Is that foot throttle really bolted through the floor? I would expect a stringer mount.

Ron ,yes the Pedal (and the "halon") are thru bolted with countersunk stnls screws , not uncommon for some older boats , my Schiada was done the same way (talk about crowded cockpits)  ;D

Sooooo ....Me and Ro  left at 9:30 back at 12:30 (45 min to SA ) ,Boat starts runs, leaves hard (leaks at the Calgo thru hulls) ,is definately a "Bad A$$", Josh did a killer job up on the "tune up" and install BUT it porpoise's like a MAD DOG (way too much UP and suspect some "Rocker" ) Rhonda said it was almost embarassing  :o Boat wants to run  "Balls out" doesn't want to be a lake boat ,one lap around the lake and back home to get the Camper and gear ready for next week  SA trip. Josh's (and Grampa) got a new baby comin' Tues AM gonna try for a local "Fishing Lake blast" mid week Otherwise gonna bring the Schiada or the Cruiser or maybe the Miller (Rhonda says I cant bring a V-drive  "cause its Socal JET boats!!) !  >:( over and out !

The smile on my face was evident while seeing this "little boat that can" on the water again, both my wife and my daughter noticed the expression on my face....

Thanks for the post fella's, nice job.

Tom, lemme know if there are any "rockdodger parts" you want to borrow to see if we can't figure out what she needs to succeed.

Me and Josh couldn't stand it ,threw on a used diverter and went out to the "fishin lake" for test and tune where we under went a Qagga muscle "douche" some undeserved "harrasment" and "Race boat profiling" from the Prick Rangers (called the board of supervisors today to complain ) but actually got some "seat time" ,the boat definatley wants "down" ,we'll remove the droop this week for a straight snoot  ,maybe bring it this weekend ,maybe the Flatty not sure Having fun Now

BTW Congrats to my "youngin" and his wife today  baby girl !!  God I hope shes a boater  ;D

They put a cable on the boat to the trailer that shows the boat had not been off the trailer so it will not need reinspection for that particular lake. Kinda cheesey, but whatever...I think we should just all build a boat bad enough that is scares the mussels into complete extermination >:D

Think about it, we never had the mussel problem before the sound restrictions............Just saying ::)

Ralph the cable is just as Glenn described ,as long as you dont go to another lake or ?? you don't have to be re-cleaned '

RE the Sanger  Rhonda and I went to SA yesterday with Hondo Hal hung with a loose knit new local group that call themselves " Outlaw boaters"  The Sanger now quickly finds 60+ with part throttle ;D but still sets up "porpious" that requires down pedal to correct (back to the drawing board) I did turn the boat at speed and was Hella impressed ,never felt like it would slip out or spin

On another note V-drive Dennis showed up with his Hondo T deck "play boat" Blown BBC after twisting my arm  ;) He gave me a vest and 2 gals of fuel , showed me how to work the air bottle control and new hydraulic cav set up said..."go drive it" made two 1/4 mile passes and came back with a huge smile (tattle tale says 8100, est100 +) Definatley one of the high points of my day

8100 RPM >:D Bet that swelling took a while to go down.... :sly:

Hey Tommy, if I send you a loader for the Sanger would you try it?  I think the pump is over loading, two questions though.
1. Does the porpoise go away if you nail the gas?

2. Does the porpoise come in quick, or slowly and predictably?

If it comes in slowly and predictably, the extended pump fins could be creating a "low pressure" area under the rear of the boat causing the boat to "teeter totter" on the center point of the hull, it will not go away unless you stand on it, pulling the boat back down in the water giving it something to climb, or faking a hook with some ride plate adjustment, which I hate doing.

I think the engine being forward accentuates this horribly. The loader I want you to try is a plate type and was run on a River runner and cured this exact symptom. You might even have one in those rafters of yours, it needs to be a plate type loader and not very aggressive, this will "bypass" a lot of water at speed and keep the pressure stable under the bottom of the intake, it may take away a little of the out of hole performance (can you say inducer?), but would be worth it in the long run I think.

let me know if you want to give it a whirl (no puhn intended).

Don't be afraid to tell me I'm full of crap though too, its been a while.

Once loaded this thing would work great, it will probably turn hard enough to scare you. >:D

Glenn appreciate the input  I think were on the right track .. this is the "back to the drawing board" measure we took and just for the FYI value this is the bottom were dealing with ,clearly this boat was designed to hual ass and turn left more after the T&T tommorow Tom

Looks like your trying to tame a wild animal there Tom.   Its a race boat hull , it only needs to have 2 throttle settings (on and off), stop trying to turn it into a cruiser .   :screwy:
