We removed all the "extentions" to bring the jet back (no droop no Bowl extension hard ware) installed the standard Berk nozzle adaptor and removed the "Loader" (installed) a rock grate for now esentially putting the boat/jet to stock with the exception of a 3* up wedge and the place diverter The boat was very different still carries the bow a little high, turns like its on train tracks and leaves like a Flatty with minimul bow rise (mash the down pedal ,hammer the throttle)

very enjoyable trip. "A" impeller alows minimum plane speed of about 2700, tryed to keep within the lake speed limit

85% or better of the "Dolphin" action is gone . Still requires "down pedal" to settle out typical porpoise that begins after a wake crossing etc ,dont belive we had the boat much past 55 , and yes we have no quaggas I'm happy to report more to follow !

So, do you think you can get rid of the rest of the porpoise, or are you just going to leave it at that?

Not that Jim Rich's boat was a gem or anything but he always had to wedge his droop down . Cant remember how much though .

On a side note , lots of the others are not running anything as far as wedge goes . Bowl/adapter/nozzle thats it . Great job too .

Just for reference...... on Jim's boat we can cruise 65-70 mph, over wakes, turns, weird river spots, and it has no trouble. And that's usually with the diverter up a few notches.

Just saying the two boats with two different attributes probably need two different set ups

Can you tell me what the entire set up consist of to reference where 2 notches is .

Droop with a 2 degree down wedge. Don't know exactly where the diverter is set.

I know I tried the same set up on my Hondo at first, it didn't like it, it would drag the diverter to hard at down positions, so it worked better with the upwedge....

Your right Tony the boats are indeed similar but very different ,the UFO is a full stringer boat ,the bottom had been "cut out" and deepened nearly the entire length of the keel with added rocker (see photo) Jim and I talked about this at LB and compared notes ,I also compared it to my yellow SJ alot of the issues I've been dealing with are as you might imagine ,directly related to that bottom mod I think we have a good handle on it now and I'm really pleased with the boat and belive it has a solid future and will be competetive Tom

Went late (rain possiblility) to Classic V-drives @SA ,took the UFO instead of the Flatty (after 4 hrs of polishing

) Anyhow me and GTjets (Glenn) went for a hot lap , sds good ,leaves hard ,hauls ass ,turns hard But.... still got some porpoise to work out ,moving the motor back next Check it out ,were getting there , Thanks for the help Glenn (he's the tall one

There's a lot left on the table thats for sure....it sort of forces you to get out of the throttle...

OH ,best run with me and Glen was 64.5 ,me alone 68.3 boat should run 75 to 80 without a struggle but I gotta to get it to "settle" It has 13" of drive line which is where the rigger set it I'm gonna move it back to see if I can get it to rock back and carry the bow like Glen said Tom

Tom could you PM me a ball park figure on what it would cost to have a cav plate pedal system like this made for an eliminator like propless has? Wouldn't need the plates just everything else. Or should I be looking into one of those hydraulic setups?

It would be nice to see another one of these old survivors. Did you see the one for sale over on PB ?

I would like to upgrade mine to the adjustable plates. I think it would make it a better all around boat.

I'd like to see mine run too, I'm about sick of polishing parts
