I can't help you with the parts and don't mean to hi-jack your post, but I was curious how this boat rides. I am looking at getting one and was curious about speed and handling characteristics. Also, if your parked, do waves (wakes) come over the front of it. I live on a fairly busy lake and it's not abnormal to have a ski boat come by with the ballast filled up plowing.

Thanks in advance

I personally don't know how they ride but if your on a busy lake and lots of ski boats I would recommend going with another hull. You will definitely get wakes going into your boat. Get a taller hull!!! Just my .02 cents

I got an everyday boat. I'm just looking for something to go out, raise a little hell, and shoot some rooster tails. If it's just an afternoon or morning glass boat, that's cool with me too. Just trying to figure out what it will do

And i guess the handling and speed would be completely different as well. I am curious if anybody else knows how one of these would handle with a jet

Jet hydro??? They don't work very well unless you have a LOT of keel work and I mean a lot. The Tuttys have a pickle hydro jet that runs deep in the 90's. But they added a ton of keel in it.

What exactly is "keel work" on a hydro?

The keel is the center line of the boat?

"Keel work" on any jet application is going to be everything leading up to the intake housing.

Not a hydro but Nick's Scorpion had a some serious keel/bottom work done to make it run good.

You said jet hydro...... ::)

Hydroplanes like this one are "three point". The three points are left and right sponson and prop.

If you are looking for a toy to play with and still be pretty safe. Look into a tunnel bottom.

That shovel is really cool looking btw.

My jet hydro was originally a SBC vdrive and at some point in life had a 4k$ jet conversion and handles very well. No problems at all
