Lol I'll always have a second job with it by moving to Florida smuggling Haitians for sure!

The name will be what the fella's agree on........as usual with my boats! Becoming a tradition around here, lol!

LOL! Your voice is heard, and liked, actually!

I'll let you guys argue this amongst yourselves in this thread. The build, I'm gonna post a new thread. Transoms half done, got pics, picking up some fir today to build the floor stringers from. Might have a complete interior lined up from a 24' . News at 11 on that. Engines? Let's just say that with the pile of new parts that came with it, it's gonna have a LOT more power than I envisioned originally. I'll save the specifics for the build and let Dave talk about it. Suffice it to say, thank the lord it came with twin 40 gallon tanks!  ;)

Those are actually headlights! But yeah, could start a new trend from the front instead of the back, lol.

I Like the "torpedo tube" idea though! lol

Too bad you are not from Kentucky, could have called the boat "Toofer"  ;D

You know what's nuts?

If you even build mild small blocks for that badboy you'll have over 700 HP  :screwy:

Hydraulic steering would be my all out recommendation for better control and ease of maintenance...

I have a helm (the pump), need to come up with the steering ram and some hose.....

How about "Xtra jet"?, Or "Two of Everything"....?

Brads right! 4 pages and no progress pics other than sorting.

Been busy, but DID manage to get the rest of the hacked up transom wood out. New pieces almost ready to go in. My DA sander and Jig saw aparently decided to boycott this endeavor, so new ones are being bought tomorrow. Tanks are out, now, officially gutted!

Notice the exhaust outlets are NOT quite level clear across? Going to go ahead and fix that while this is all going on. Might as well, else it'll bug me!

Started building the forward bulkhead (They had built one, was a POS) and a rampway into the open bow (Decided we're keeping that).

The hack job they started on the dash is going away. Once floors are in, I'll tackle that. I figured start on both ends of it and meet in the middle somewhere.

Ever see twin 40 Gallon tanks? lol. All loaded up for the Hot Rod shop to tear apart and rebuild. I decided I wanted them to cut out the pickup tubes, weld in new, add new senders, then pressure check them. At some 220# or so full, don't want any issues with them, especially considering my history with fuel leaks......

We're off to a good start!

Ray,

Been going to town..

The exhaust outlets are not supposed to be straight across from each other....V8 engines cylinder heads are staggered by quite a bit, making one side of the exhaust longer than the other, they wont come out in the same place....Ever...

Boat looks like an airplane hangar.....Very vast and hollow... :screwy:

Thanks Glenn! Actually, in thinking about that, the swim deck will cover all that up anyway, so WTF cares? It's probably due to one motor mount plate being about a half inch lower than the other, though. The mounts are like an erector set, will figure them out later.

Working on a deal on a complete interior from a 24' Sleek that might work on this! News at 11 on that. Drug Skip, kicking, screaming, clawing and crying like a lil girl into this to get the engine stuff to A&D.....(J/K! Skips wholeheartedly involved in this dealio). But may need some SoCal help as this interior is in So Cal.
