stuck throttle and pump cable

i have a 76 Sutphen Jet boat with a stuck throttle and pump cable...can not push the lever forward only backward...
Any advice to lubricate would be helpful since it does not have a cable but a metal rod that slides back and forth (I think)

It really depends on what materials you are dealing with. If there are rubber parts involved as far as seals and whatnot, chemicals may do more harm than good. I use Aerokroil like its free. It's incredible what it will free up.

If salt water was involved, we normally use Parson Ammonia cleaner to free the aluminum parts, just be sure to rinse the heck out of everything when you're done.
