Tightening bow eye

Any ideas: I need to tighten my bow eye and the bulkhead is full of spray foam. I have seen posts where people have cut a hole to get your arm through. My question is what product can I use to cover the hole when I'm done. I've seen where people used bow lights but I can't find one big enough that I can get my arm through. Has anyone run into this problem and what did you use. Any information would be appreciated.

What kind of boat? How tough would it be to take the foam out? Boat makers used different ways to add “buoyancy” to the bow. My Tahiti was a molded chunk of foam held in by fiberglass tabs. Easy to take out. Some others had plastic bags of little foam balls. Do you have a bulkhead glassed in? A lot of guys have taken out the foam and loaded the front with those water noodles. Just some ideas to help keep from cutting your bow.

It’s been discussed a few times years ago. Do a search from the front page. It should come up. You can also search the jet section at Performance Boats.
I think as far as cutting into the bow, what some guys did was use ratchet and a universal socket and extension. If I remember right, they used a flip-up bow light that had a mounting flange. This made it possible to cut a bigger hole in the bow to get access.
