Water Lines For Headers

Hey I picked up some New Headers for my BBC. The are designed for water injection however they did not come with the lines. What is the easiest way to come up with some new lines or is it best to just build them?

Its a 77 Eliminator Sprint. With a 502 BB. I am in Bakersfield western side. Why?

I just built some last week for my BBC with my bro the Beav. Just used some brake line and got some inverted flare nuts from summit racing. They wern't that hard to make and they are custom to how I wanted to run the waterlines to come in from the Basset t I had

so the one thing i keep forgetting is that i have a perfectly good one then a perfectly bad one "i just messed up" in all reality i just need the passenger one. but ill be watching to see what comes across the table the one i need is a bbf for twistys if that makes a difference...i hope this isnt a thread jack just letting you guys know im watching

Send me a pic , often theres enough "room" from set to set to use a good used water line from one header to the next ! Tom

I am also right off of Brimhall and Calloway. Crazy stuff. What kind of boat are you running? I have one set of lines it's just that they don't match up with my injection ports on my headers. They are a custom make from a company called Cobra Headers out of Anaheim. I don't think they are around anymore seeing that I can get any info on them so I guess I will have to try and fab some up myself. Just break line brazed together inside one larger line if I am not mistaken?

As for the water lines, they don't really look like much, you pretty much nailed it, brake line into a fitting.

Right on. Ya I have only been here for about two years. Not the easiest town to meet people in either. So meeting new people to hit the lake with would be great. I know here we have Ming and Buena Vista but I have heard mixed things about both. Looking forward to Naciemento though if we get some more rain. How do you post pics on here?

Gonna represent the south side of Bako. I'm in Greenfield off of Taft Hwy (119) and Hwy 99.
As far as BV vs Ming IMO:
During the week, either or, but BV is alot bigger
On the weekend, no BV for me (to many wake board boats)
The only bad part of Ming is the potential grass.

I would also suggest calling Tom or Josh at JBP for any parts, they are good people, they know what they are doing and are easy on the wallet

It sounds like the Bakersfield guys are going to have to hit up Ming or BV here in a few months, so get that thing ready!

It's an Eliminator Sprint. I trust my sodering skills just need to see what the line is going to cost me or I may have to go see Tom. I am going to Paso this weekend anyways to have some sandblasting done on my headres might as well stop by and pay him a visit and see what he has.

i mean no offense....its a really sharp boat. i could be wrong but i believe the lines are super cheap and some places even cut and flare to your measurements. good luck either way

ps we "make up" lines to your headers and they are .. super cheap !

Too funny, I grew up in Greenfield. I say we hit BV as soon as possible, I need to do some comparison runs against some changes I made to the boat since I last had it in the water.

I am game on B.V. I can't wait to go test her out. Never had a chance to put her on the water. Just got to hear the motor purr. That and a visual inspection o the hull which turned out really good. I do want to find out if I need to take the pump to Tom though so I would love to hit the water first warm day. Tom I called the shop and asked about the water lines. I didn't talk to you but your guy quoted me 150 and aid that you have to sen the measurements off to get the lines made. I am glad to hear otherwise. I will definitely be by Saturday.

Just let me know when. I have a PD on order and I need to install it and change the oil in the engine and I am ready.

I wanted to change the oil on my boat as well before I hit the water. What is the easiest way, pump it out of the dip stick hole or try and fit a trash bag or something under the oil pan?
