Trying to decide on the best place to mount my solenoid on a 455 olds. Anyone with a 455 got a spot that works for them. I'm outa good ideas but there's always some floating around in here. Was going to mount it to the back of the block but I'm worried about heat. 

Mine is mounted on the back of the head where my header brace bolts on.  It's suspended just over the  back of the engine by the distributor on the right side.
