Wreidt boats was a company run by a racer named Jerry Wreidt in Los Angeles.  Sometime in the mid 70's he moved the operation to Havasu, byt they have long since stopped building boats.  I don't know much about them other than mine seems to be well built hull wise.  Some of the "techniques" used in the interior have me scratching my head, but then my experience with different manufacturers is very limited.  My introduction to boating was a Horizon that my parents co-purchased with another family in 1975.  We still have it     Used that boat mercilessly for decades until me and the wife could no longer find anyone to go to the river with us.  I am trying to get the other co-owner to bring it out to one of the SCJB events, but he is near 70 now and he stays way too busy.

A few years back I know that Wreidt still maintained an active website and a boat repair biz in Texas.  They did answer the phone and helped me out with some questions I had.  I have only seen one other 23' Montara, so I guess mine is pretty rare too.  The one I did see had a monster Pontiac motor that moved unbelievably fast for a boat this big.  They must hold up pretty good.
