I have a stock beam, built swing axel, and a turbo 1915 right now. Guess I need seats, steering, clutch and flywheel, would like to swap swing for IRS.

But I have 3 VW cars so I am always interested in spare parts!!

Ok now we are talking I have 26 vws and another 100 more in Reno NV. The 100 in Reno are baja bugs got a good deal for a acre of them. The ones in vegas are notch backs,fast backs,carmengias, bugs, and squarebacks who needs some parts.

i could also use a more capable front beam assembly. I have a stock one on the manx right now. My desert VW very close to a class 9 car is pretty much done. Full built race trans from transaxle engineering, hand build aluminum body, and a 2332 vw power plant. thing is pretty bad ass.

as for the manx. right now i have a pan with stock front beam and a swing axle rear. i have a rebuilt swing trans with close ratio gears and a turbo 1915 power plant. Would like to convert the rear to 3x3 irs and at least larger towers on the front beam. I also need the 3 inch body lift and either buy or build a cage. then the normal nickle and dime stuff. Breaks, lines, wiring, steering. blah blah blah....

and my third vw is a Laser 917 (Porsche 917 replica) i have not been in the motor yet but i am guessing its a bigger motor. came with dual carbs and other goodies. and you usualy dont put those on a 1600. this car needs soem body work, paint, and interior.

so i guess i am 1/3 finished with my VW car collection. LOL

chad i could use an IRS rear clip. trans and all. if you could spare one of those that would be great. No i am in no hurry. this manx has been unfinished for years. But i am starting to get back to it. now that my boat lives at my river place i have room in my shop to do some work.

the car is set up with a swing right now. I have a fresh rebuilt swing trans in it. but since i will be putting the turbo motor in this car i think i could use the added suspension travel that comes with irs and 3x3 trailing arms.

ive never done this conversion. but i would guess i need everything from hub to hub including trans, axels, all that jazz. basicly if you had a car that has IRS and is otherwise useless just cut the back clip of the car off in front of the torsion tube. I will take the whole thing. and replace and rebuild from there.
