Header water lines
« on: January 22, 2016, 07:32:27 PM »
I'm looking for a set of water lines for boat headers. If I can find some I'm going to buy the cheaper through transom headers. People have said they are good for the money.

I looked at basset they were 200 bucks. I wanted to buy the eBay headers but they don't come with water lines. I figure if I can't find any I would just buy the basset headers with the water lines.

Not sure if basset lines will work on eBay headers. I know I had two different sets of bassets. One was a straight and one twisties and the lines were different. Have you tried used headers in craigslist ?

You can do it with some AN fittings and used aircraft fuel injector lines. Just need to make a little distribution block.

You can also do it with some stainless pipe and some Swaglock fittings. (Still going to be $200.).

Basset headers and water lines used

That's what they cost new though with lines gaskets and bolts. I always figure that used should be around half price unless they are super clean. I'd keep looking. I've bought twisties with lines and jet hot coating still looking decent in the 300-400 dollar range

Did you ever find any lines? I'm thinking of getting TT headers same as you on eBay.

There is a thread about the eBay stainless headers on Performance Boats Forum where Tom from jetboatperformance.com posted he was now offering kits.

I have a set of waterlines, but I think they are for BBF

I don't have any BBF headers to compare them to. Definitely not Olds or SBC.

I just compared then to my (BBC) Bassetts water lines, they are slightly different, but #1 and #7 (first and last on that side) are the same length.

I can bring them to Needles tomorrow, if you are goin'.
