What happened to your prop? What pitch and diameter are you running? Do you know what gears are in the box?

Nothing happened to my prop. It's a 3 blade. I'm looking for an 11", like 11 3/4 x 16. Something like that. I'm not sure what gears are in the box but I know that it feels like it runs out of speed when there is alot of motor left. I ran it as hard as 5600 give or take and went mind 70's. I'm sure the box is stock so like 18's maybe from what I can gather through research. I'm not even positive what degree the casale is yet. Gears would be cool but doesn't a prop change from a 3 blade to a 2 blade make the boat faster?

I have a three blade. I hear they vibrate less and people like to use them with trannys. You prolly want to figure out what prop you have and go up like say to that 16. I THINK mine is a twelve inch 15. I read somewhere abaout dialing in your prop to your RPM like each number up lowers RPM 3000 or something like that. I've never had my boat much over 5000 RPMs but I'd say I'm going well over 80. I just replaced all my ACC pumps in the carbs, the secondaries hadnt been opened in so long they were rock hard!

The prop is an old brass looking one so I'm sure it's stock. I would like to find a 2 blade 16 I think that would wake it up alot. This winter I'll figure out the gears and stuff and change those maybe. At 2000-2300 it runs about 30-35

Sounds about right, I cruise around 3000. Prop is prolly bronze. Do some reaserch before you put any money in a prop, maybe borrow a couple. I was gonna ask how fast she was at idle without a low gear. But yea the hotrods run the little two blades. Good to have a extra too.

At idle with a three blade and about 800rpm, it's slow enough to not make a wake really. It pretty slow actually

Dave, get with Harry (Howard19). The guy in the shop next to him in Havasu welds, repairs, buys and sells props. Seems like a really nice guy, and might be able to point you in the right direction and probably has more than a few just layin around.
