I'm new to the jet boat thing. What does it do I have a Berkeley jet with a Jetta Vader on it and wouldn't work on my set up now sorry for all the questions just trying to learn as much as I can about jet boats.

Short answer. By extending where the nozzle outlets, it creates more leverage on the transom and because the intake are typically installed at 3° it also lowers the X dimension (or thrust line) in relation to the keel line.
Basically enhances performance by creating hull lift. A straight has limited uses on a vee bottom, but have proven themselves on tunnels and wingers when the full droop proves too much.
