just got back! Buggy run great for a motor that sat for 8 years. The only problem beside me wanting more part is that it runs hot. (about 230) people say thats not bad. But I would like it the run like 180. It has a new radiator and water pump. We took out the thermostat. I'm thinking that it's the timing. But the spark plugs look like they are burning good.

Hey Plesh, IMO 230 is a little too high especially takin out the thermostat, it kinda sounds like you have a blockage somwhere cooling wise   Mark

Agreed, 230 is too high. However I do knoe that a thermostat is required in most closed cooling systems. The thermostat slows down the water flow to allo time for the water to cool. Check your timing, like we discussed on the phone, first. I know you have an electric fan, does it have a shroud? Is the radiator rated for a 8 cyl motor? Water pump, what kind are you using?
