I wanted to run Corey in November when we were at Elsinore, but he didn't want to go. I think I read that he pulled the blower motor and is putting a nitrous one in, so there's probably nothing there for me either. I guess we'll see.

Well oviously I wanted to set something up while we were at Parker and a So Cal Jet Boat Event. No reason to get upset over it Jim. If I'm reading that wrong my apologies. But I also didn't want to make a call out if the gate keeper #7 spot guys wasn't going. Rule #1 it's about fun and I didn't want to cause someone plans to be flipped around, therefore I'll make it happen after the kick off deal.I'm not upset at all i will explain how it works for you. You make a official call out on this thread and I will make it happen captain. I will let whoever you are calling out know and they have three weeks to complete the deal. The person being called out also has the choice of the place for the race to take place. So if you called Dewy out he may tell me Blythe in two weeks I have no idea but then i will let you know.

I'm not sure of the reason I've gave him a few safe rides all under 100 mph. However he was witness to a few wild setup deals that went sideways. I don't recall anyone needing medical attention after a ride in Risen however there was booze involved. Long story short I will be looking for a replacement to meet Jakes needs. Keep in mind weight is a concern here....with one fat guy in the boat already we will have to request all applying to be under a buck fifty. Thanks in advance.

Outta curiosity what's the gate keeper run. I don't think I'd have a shot but I can run 83mph full tanks one person at 6000rpms. In my mind I don't have a shot but idk what the standards are....I don't think there's an official "gate keeper"

Well Bosticks tunnel ran a 6.0 out of the box at Parker. I would say something mid 10.0 would be a good gate keeper.. My boat will fit that bill

I thin that's the point. Steve is on to us. Some of these boats are well over the 100mph mark. The guy's are not needing any added problems to jeopardize there safety. If it can happen in a location where safety is not compermized then great. When you put times and dates out there you end up not even being able to run. I hope all understand this it is a dangerous sport in the first place let's not add to it.

I think it would be much more fun to have a day of racing where multiple call outs can happen on the spot and a bunch of people there to witness and make sure everything is fair

That was for the most part safe do to the fact we had 20 boats. All Guy's racing and know the deal. The boats were beached unless out racing one guy. Myself and Dennis went to another location to make our pass on nos. Then we made some passes with the rest on motor. We will do the same deal again this year. If we get out there a bit earlier we can make the big passes in the same spot.

I was just thinking that if it was set up where a bunch of guys on the list and challengers to the list were able to meet and have a shootout of sorts it would give new guys a shot as well and make for some good racing/ shake things up a bit. Agreed. Let's not forget boat racing is a spectator sport. And in this case it's done on public waterways... My thoughts are the more educated people you have surrounding the event, the less chance there is for knuckleheads with a 6 pack screwing it up. This "list" is a big deal to this forum and let's face it, the guys ON the list represent a very small percentage. I say open it to the members on the site. Maybe not as an organized event, but at least a date and location. AND MAKE IT EARLY IN THE MORN! Thats a good way to wash out spectators. Just my $0.02, for what it's worth. 😮

And completely understand that people would like to spectate but to be honest the only places I really feel comfortable making 115+ mph passes would be on the lower river if it would have to be at an event. Brad puts on great events but Laughlin area is a lil rough at times and really hard to leg one out and feel confident. As for that saying any races that I get called out on will be a first in the morning deal. I'm supercool with people crowding the shore line but in my opinion the less boats on the water the better..

Agreed. Spectators should be allowed to be shoreline watching. Seems like it would be a great way to stir things up and get many more people interested in participating in the races. Many can say they make 100+ passes. But I'm sure it's few and far between. Top 3 a possibility but down from there I just don't know... Just sayingWent side by side with jakes 9.0 boat. Hey I don't really pay much attention to the list.. Read a couple comets lately it's good to hear that u guys are thinking about the safety of people out on the water . There's a time and place for good runs ..Top 2 are technically v hulls lol, 3rd is a tunnel and the 4th is a v. After that there are a few tunnels and other v hulls.

Hey I don't really pay much attention to the list.. Read a couple comets lately it's good to hear that u guys are thinking about the safety of people out on the water . There's a time and place for good runs ... Unless you count wingers none. Just tunnel and wingers.

Let's get some local races ( Elsinore ) early mornings.We do that sometimes. I created a event last year "not Socal related" before the DVD release to sort out positions and get a few guys to run. Had about 15 boats show up. The only problem doing it now is cops are out. Summertime is coming. We did this in November when there was no one out and still got a lil choppy. I'm certain there will be a few call outs happening soon and probably will be taking place at Elsinore.

Bottom line I'm with you Steve on spectators. There is no reason to have the list if no one gets to see races. I don't mind the date and times posted because all of my races "if getting called out" will be at mclyntre on off weekends or early morning pending on water conditions due to previous boats that have already launched. And doubt anyone is going drive 2-3 hrs just to watch 2 guys race for 10 seconds

Umm... 521 ran 83mph but haven't played with the place diverter to try and see where the sweet spot is. Ran 79 with 3 adults. I don't really make passes or wide open a lot usually have my boy with me but the two times I did that's the results. Need to get out more without the boy but kinda hard when he lives the boat.
Sounds like a solid runner !!

Yeah. I'm mid 70's on motor but high 80's on a 150 shot... it's a freak I know
I really would be down for a 70-90 top 10 list. I think that would be very competitive, not cost 20-30k to get on it, and all in all be a good list for the forum m3mbers

I'm not upset at all i will explain how it works for you. You make a official call out on this thread and I will make it happen captain. I will let whoever you are calling out know and they have three weeks to complete the deal. The person being called out also has the choice of the place for the race to take place. So if you called Dewy out he may tell me Blythe in two weeks I have no idea but then i will let you know.

Brad I was just going based upon what Jim had previously written. Jim came off, to me, as the person who made sure the races happened. Now if Jim was misinformed, that's an issue between you and Jim. On a separate note, I believe I saw comments made by list members in which you're referring to as "the peanut gallery". In which case why would you make such remarks about others not taking the thread seriously, if in fact, neither do list members. To call outsiders such a name only leads us to believe that this is a "buddy system list". I hope this is all cleared up so we can have some good races this coming season in which all can participate in the fun. I mean after all, it's all shits n giggles until someone giggles n shits.

This may have been answered already but y exclude v drives and prop boats from this "list" this is outlaw style racing right? Run what u brungBelieve they are trying to keep it a jet boat only deal. Im not against the v drive but unless they are on air gonna be hard for them to leave from a dig. But who knows never drove one.

Settle down James. what i really said was my brothers 19' was the only gullwing i couldn't beat at the river. Riveracer beat me once, but i beat him once as well. Cant remeber any other gullwings that beat that boat at the river. Don't start talking shit like we always make excuses.

Bottom of the list needs to move up I was expecting the bottom list racers to line up with me, few of the list racers 5 and up are all down, had my boat out all weekend waiting for some line ups after all the talk I heard in the parking lot about who's going to run never happened. Just my opinion and a little rant.I kind of thought Dewey might would have ran you. But then you went out and took out Larry and BIG DADDY you scared them. Your boat looked like it was on kill all weekend you need to limp out there and lure them in. Dewey did get side tracked his bike had to be picked up on Saturday or i would have talked him into it. I think it will be a great race when Dewey gets an inducer installed.

We made a last minute decision to bring the boat out for a couple call outs on my boat which never happened go figure.I know this is no list race but would have loved to line up with me on motor. I would have loved to go out and play with all you guys but damn that water was rough the 3 list races we did do this weekend were a lil sketchy water as well. I hope there are some call outs soon, I'll be in Blythe for memorial be cool to line a few people up. Hopefully my dad will have the Daytona done and Corey will have his new set up done as well.

The complicated thing is that izzy made a callout on the gatekeeper spot to get on the list. If Johnny Montour wants to be on the list, he is at the bottom of the list, that callout will be for him, not Johnny Windle.

The complicated thing is that izzy made a callout on the gatekeeper spot to get on the list. If Johnny Montour wants to be on the list, he is at the bottom of the list, that callout will be for him, not Johnny Windle.
Put him at the bottom. let them race as I saw the call out. He won't be in for fathers day. Let them run as planned and if the 514 is bumped so be it... it's all good

News to me, maybe I should check with the driver. I know he was a little ticked at the out come, some say he won and some say he lost. I replied to your PM, but here it is as well for everyone else to read so there is no confusion....
Forester (#10) called out towtruck Johnny (#9) on Saturday in person but Johnny said he wants to wait until fathers day, which he is allowed to do. If there is a pending call out, you can't call out because there is a pending race. Once their race happens, then you can call him out. I suggest you find out where they are racing and call the closer out when they hit they hit the beach right after the race.

The mothers day thing was bs and has nothing to do with rule #4 questions that 69kona is asking. A guy raced for a list spot, then said he didn't want to be on the list after the race, but then later his buddy stirred the pot asking why his buddy wasn't on the list.

Picture this.......in quarter mile cove last weekend the big boy finally hits the water. I mean this is full helmet, lifeline and parachute blown hydro vdrive. He makes some quarter throttle back and fourth passes to warm up. Then he gets in the back of the cove for launch. He takes off and maybe gets half into it and I kid you not a dude on a sea flea goes right in front of him. I think he said screw this and trailered it. Really wanted to see that pass.

Well, Fathers Day and the SW Regatta were the only two events I could make this year, but the kids made reservations at Big River for Fathers Day. Everyone can move up a space and make more room at the bottom for some newcomers since I won't qualify for The List. All in all water conditions sucked! I pretty much launched went out about 300 ft unloaded and let off the button. Everytime I thought we could make a pass some jet ski guy started to do donuts 👎🏻No mater what you do it will always be that way, its like they come out of the reeds or something when its time to "line up" and right when you put your boat back on the buoy they are gone like ninja's

Ha idk about an official cruiser list but.... I would say any motor, needs to be legit real day or mini day cruiser. I would measure that by free board on the back transom. I wouldn't put a length down only because the spectra 18 and halletts are technically mini days. But I can say there are a few open bow bubble decks and open bow gullwings that would not make this a fun list.

Haha good stuff. Yea all for fun. I think even if I was quick enough for the list I'm too busy with where I'm at with work and kids. But I'll be out there in the next few weeks I hope at least.

Haha good stuff. Yea all for fun. I think even if I was quick enough for the list I'm too busy with where I'm at with work and kids. But I'll be out there in the next few weeks I hope at least.

I think the CP regatta is coming up the 12th or something like that.

The guy I was referring to came at me on plane and I was stopped tried my best to run him down but the little 323 didn't have enough. Had about 3 lengths on me.
Don't know who he was, just showed up. When I told him I just had 300 cubic inches he took the fuck off and we didn't see him again.
