i started the boat yesterday and ran it for about 30 mins and adjusted to carb and timing. the damn thing fouled a plug(i hope) because it sound like it was running on 7 cylinders. i bought plugs last night on my way home and they will be in tonight. im going to Elisnore sunday morning and will be leaving my house around 6-630 so i can get some good smooth water for the boats first time out. there are still somethings that need to be addressed before i go but i have tonight and all day on saturday to adjust and clean. im waiting on a new steering adapter from JBP that should be at my front door tonight, cant wait. see you all out there on sunday. My boat will be the one that is getting towed in.  ;D

Is everyone expecting to beach in the cove or are you going to stay over beside the city ramp?  Don't forget your shoes cuz that ground is going to be smokin'!!

Cruzin over to the cove. I assume you are talking about the one next to the inlet channel.

Bob,

Is that south of the launch ramp we were at last time?  I haven't been back in there yet.

Overall a good day for me. I didn't have to get towed, I didn't have use the fire extingusher, and there were no fires on board. I made it under my own power all the way back to the dock.

My only problem is my new electric fuel tank selector switch apparently can't flow enough fuel to feed my engine above 3500 RPM. Maybe there is debris in there or something, and if my intake wasn't leaking I would have run it again after I bypassed the switch.

With the switch inline with the Holley marine pump -

1000 RPM 6 PSI
1500 RPM 5 PSI
2000 RPM 3.5 PSI
2500 RPM 1 PSI

bypassed, 6 PSI idle - 2K. My intake had a leak, so I didn't want to fry a valve. It's all fixed now, so hopefully my trip to the river will be good.

I'm just going to bypass it and suck off of both tanks for the meanwhile, and figure out the issues after memorial day.

It was nice ,102, light breeze, a few isolated sections of chopiness, but generally smooth.

put 2 inch line from one tank to front carb and 2inch line to back carb and go for the melted bank card run fast use more gas feed that mo par $$$$$$ it will run you in to debt  :banghead: gas is only $3.50
gal here 10gal per hour = $35.00 per hour  :banghead:  just chump change to you O C boys

3.50? I paid 4.14 yesterday to fill up.

We should drill the s**t out of alaska, not only will is make gas so cheap we will all be happy, it will put terrorism out of business 'cause the middle east would suddenly be broke.

And yes, Elsinore was quite nice yesterday.

Back already  :'(

Gotta say thanks to Flytime and Wannabe for helping me at the lake today.  Wannebe helped me unload/load the boat and Flytime towed me in when the fuel pump quit  >:(

I'm just glad that the pump failed here local while testing and not on the river when I want to relax.

Again, thanks guys.

i  went  out there too . That  was  my first time   out on   that  lake .I let my girlfrieind drive. I had a few to many   . We  got pulled over  for  heading   striat  across the  lake  and  instead of  giving her the ticket they  gave me  the ticket   because  it was  my  boat

The same thing happened to me at Lake Nacimiento.  I let the girlfriend drive as we were way out in the middle, probably 30 yards off the centerline bouys, far from everyone, BUT heading the wrong way.  I got the ticket cuz it was my boat.  LEO also found an uncharged fire extinguisher  :banghead:

You guys must look guilty,  ;D  because I'm sure we were exceeding the speed limit outside the speed zone and never got looked at (that is until I broke mine)
