Anyone heading out to Elisnore this Sunday? Will be there around 10am, launching from the main marina....

Can't make it this Sunday boat quit on me last weekend gotta fix it goin in bout three weeks on a Sunday anybody gonna be there would like to meet some of the guys here

Tore into my motor last night, not sure when I'll be back on the water. Hopefully soon

I might be, can't say for sure right now. Just rebuilt the carb today and gonna install tomorrow. Now I won't have to have one kid hold the engine cover open while the other one holds the choke butterfly closed just to get her started LOL. Gonna try to remember to put the plug in before launching too. :banghead:
One thing for sure though is I won't wait until 10 am to launch on a summer Sunday. :screwy: Might not even find parking that late.

We were out today and may head back out tomorrow.
The weather turned around 2, the wind picked up, white caps across lake, and everyone took off for the ramps. We stated on the leeward side of the cove with a group of people and 20 minutes later we had sun and a smooth lake. Got to love summer storms.
Talked to a few guys with nice jet boats a Nordic, Miller, and Sanger. All in all a fun day.

Wanted to say my wife and I were both impressed with someone throwing a huge roost about 3:15 on Sunday... it was easily spotted from the 15 freeway ;D

Still on the stand... The damn thing will be in the boat in the next couple days and ready to go to Elsinore for some break in time... Fingers x!!!

Same here.... Motor is nothing special..... Yet... But need to get back on the water ASAP... But when I have the rest of the $$$$$ I will finish the finishing touches on it.... But at least now it will be solid for the rest of summer....

Usually out there around 10 or 11. Get kind of spoiled/lazy having the lake 10 minutes away from house to buddies house on the water.

i hear you there man i wish that was my reason i didnt use mine so much this year i was an idiot when i was younger with money and i just paid her off but i had one of those money hungry girls before that i thought i had to keep up with everybody and got myself into debt pretty bad but all good now next year should be great it only took me 4yrs lol i guess thats what happens when your young and dumb and full of well you know the rest!!!!

I usually launch out of weekend Paradise..... its low key .. can take my time launching.. never crowded... and can park 30 feet from the water if I want...

It's a mobile home/rv park but is never crowded when I have been Same fee as everywhere else though $25 to launch etc...

Ya. Crowds on a launch ramp suck.. I have never had to wait to launch and there is only room for 1/2 boats to launch .. I pull in and launch right away . Plenty of room to maneuver and ramp has never been slimy or jacked up ...

Just noticed my Holley carb is leaking at the throttle base plate.. Hopefully I can find a carb shop tomorrow that's open to install some new bushings in it so I can get to the damn lake !!! Any ideas anybody??? Also need to find a damn steering wheel adaptor for a 9 hole steering wheel... My old adaptor doesn't work on my new rack kit!!! Go figure!!! Am I ever gonna get on the damn water!!, any places open in OC or IE tomorrow!!?? FML..

Dana is closed Saturdays .. Open only for appt....wtf is the crap!!!! I'll have to call j/m in the morning... I'm not far from riverside... My main thing is a damn steering adaptor .. I can deal with a Small fuel leak around the carb worst case have to be easy on the motor anyway .. Just need to put some easy time on it... Not gonna put my hatch on until I fix the leak so won't have to worry about fumes building up..... I'll just have to watch it ... Just call me crazy haha... Hopefully someone has an adaptor !!!!

Either go to place diverter in brea or wherever or just do it your self? Probably be able to get and orings or seals youd beed at mcfaddendale

If you go,to pace diverter he is going to tell you the same thing he told me about my ram when it was leaking.... He doesn't have rebuild kits... They are not worth rebuilding .. He sells a whole new ram for about $60 is what he quoted me ... Take cash! Real cool guy there..

well you haven't seen her close up yet owner before didn't take good care of it some seats are ripped I spent 16 hrs trying to get it white again when I got it and that included a 4 stage waxing deal that I use when I detail other people's stuff for them hahaha I'm sure yours will look great anyways did you find your stuff?

Cops aren't a worry. I have only really seen 1 when I go out there on Sundays... as long as your not acting a fool you will have nothing to worry about... cove gets pretty busy on Sundays though ...

I thought that might have been you but wasn't sure. A regulator might just fix your issue, I know you thought your fuel pressure might have been high so I'd tackle that first.
Great time in the cove today, Good to meet Bunger and his buddies. Oh FYI, never use Weekend Paradise to launch unless you need a good laugh. Nothing like watching a PT Cruiser try to launch a wake boat, should be some sort of law against that.

hahahahaha ya I don't know if my fuel pump has one and it just quit or what! I was gonna buy a regulator nod new pump I already had the carb redone I re plumbed all the fuel lines changed all filters and water fuel separator at 3500 she sounds great but when u shut it off it just pours fuel in the primary's and secondaries what you think?

You have too much pressure if fuel is still running into the carb after you shut down. The pressure is pushing past your carb floats(needle and seat) and they are not shutting off. Either that or you have debris in the float bowl or stuck floats that could be causing this. I've had that issue before with debris keeping my floats from shutting off and allowing fuel to push through into the carb after I shut it off.

thats what my pops said and mob mentality said I took him with me on my boat today his wasn't ready so I told him f#ck it come with me hahaha ya I'm gonna put new pump and regulator on it you figure the pump is almost 20 yrs old
