puddingstone baffles ?

gonna run over to puddingstone on saturday to put some timing and time on the new motor but have heard they wont let you on the water without baffles. is this true ?

Well last I knew they don't check if their full length or not, if you have a chop saw your more than welcome to come down and pick up one of mine to chop in half. I planned on cutting em anyways.

you have some ? i went there on weds and they didnt say anything about needing baffles. but maybe i should get a set just in case i take it somewhere they are required ? what do i need to do with the ones you have

I have never had an issue with baffles at puddingstone or even been checked for that matter. The one thing they got crazy with this year is the agugga (sp) mussel. They wont let you launch if theres any trace of water in your boat. Even from hosing it off. So make sure its dry and you will be good. If your stressed about baffles i have a set tbat your welcome to borrow im in chino hills. And work nights in ontario

I know this thread is old but i didn't see a definite answer. I went there today and they told me I needed to have the baffles in (luckily I brought them with me) so I guess it depends on if the guy at the gate is doing his job or not but baffles are required.

That's what I've heard but the two times I've been there (once in August 2011 and Today) The guy checking me in didn't give the bilge any more than a quick glance. The first time I was there my bilge pump had some residual water in it that leaked out while trailering, I didn't notice the water in the bilge until after I passed inspection  :o I really guess it depends on whoever is working the inspections that day ::)

oh really ? iv been there twice and the guy didnt say anything about needing baffles or checked my bilge. just the usual throw cushion and fire hose. i went to lake elsinore yesterday, didnt bring the boat just did some practice on the ski but there were 3 open header jet boats there, one with a blower and nobody said anything. park manager was down at the launch ramp as well. i guess it just depends on the people that day.

Looks like no one has been check for baffles but me. I'm heading out to Puddingstone tomorrow, gonna leave the baffles out and see if they check this time.

I was there a few days ago... They didnt check but as soon as i was on the water the pulled up and told me next time im there i must have them... Wrote my CF #s and let me off with a warning...

Well they checked and told ne to put them in. No big deal but there were two other jet boats out there and an Eliminator and I'm pretty sure none of them had baffles. O well...

it depends on the guy in the front and the lifeguards that day. if the young white kid is working the front hes cool and will let you through. if its the arabian looking guy hes a douche and will inspect every little thing. ( he checked the stitches on my throw cushion to make sure they werent coming apart ). if you old guy and young chick are working the lifeguard boat your screwed cause hes a nazi. i just recently got a ticket on my ski because i turned around on the outside bouys to get my shoe that came off. he said im not allowed at anytime to go the wrong way. whats stupid is me and my brother were the only ones on the lake at 7 at night  :screwy: ill never take my skis there again. they dont bother me at all with my boat. the younger life guard actually came to me and asked about my boat
