I would so prefer the drive to Pyramid than Elsinore, but even if they look away from the loud no baffle headers or the fast looking boats the speed limit is still 35mph. Later this season I'll bring the wife and we'll hang out with you guys.

J2, as long as you are not being dumb and making passes in front of the sherrifs you won't be bothered. We are all running no baffels over transom headers, and make WOT passes with zero issues. The cops are not dumb they know no one is going to strictly Go 35mph. So as long as you are smart about it you won't have any issues.

It's good to hear they relaxed a bit up there. I started going there in 1979 when I got my drivers license. Caught many giant stripers back in the day before they ate all the bait fish. 20-30 pounders boiling at your feet! I went there with a couple of performance boats in the past, but nothing like the Daytona. They were real dicks back then. It's been several years since I've been up there, looking forward to going back.

How was Pyramid this past weekend?  Ended up going to castaic since its closer and it was for only a few hours.

Thanks for the information.  Guessing the mosquitoes are from all the algae.

Ritchey early in the AM it was good, around 11 all the dumbass jet ski guys were out there cutting in front of you like they own the lake. And there is a mosquito infestation there they fucked me up for the second weekend in a row. May be time to call pyramid quits.

That's the reason we were thinking of going to Pyramid this weekend.   Wish Buena Vista was a little larger to keep the wake boarders in their own area

If castaic had decent beaches to hang out on I wouldn't think passed it but there is no where to sit there

Small and the water is always warm being the lake is only about 10 feet deep .

I can't compare the water level at Castaic to other years since I am new to this boat game.  I can tell you that I didn't get and mosquito bites on my legs/arms like I did 2 weeks ago at pyramid.  Maybe next time Ill bring some OFF repellent when I head further North to Pyramid.

I'm about 20miles from Buena Vista. Like Ritchey said, small and warm lol. But it's fun. And really fun for camping and hanging out. Should plan a trip out here one day
