cant see pics

is there a reason i cant see these pics on my home computer unless i download them?

i can see them through the app on my phone with no problems.. this happens in a lot of threads.. is it because they use the app to upload? help please

My new laptop is doing the same thing.  I was thinking it was because of the Window 8.

Kind of a pain in the ass to look at anything.   :thumbdown:

Its best to just open an image account and use the img link to post on this site...doing it that way will keep your pics from being socal tagged and viewing them will not upload onto ur computer.

while that is sometimes EASIER for some... (i personally just use the facebook CDN url from that pictures i post on my facebook account) brad's deal is that he will have this great website with all this information and suddenly someones photobucket account gets closed and theres a cool build thread with 0 pictures, etc.  i believe he's making an attempt to update the apps used for scjb to fix the issue however he cant force someone to update to the latest app.  Once thats done I'd suggest going back into the db and fixing the links or the images posted thus far.  I agree that its absolutely aggrivating to have to download these images just to view them.

its an issue when people post pictures from iphone/ipad devices. I am still working to get it fixed. All images show up correctly on Android devices, but on the website and on iphone/ipads it just shows a link. I can fix it, but is a ton of case-by-case manual edits in the database....which I plan on doing once I get the source (fukking iphones) fixed.

....and yes, i beg of you guys to not use image hosting sites like photobucket. There are already a lot of good threads ruined because the image links are broken. Even if someone renames an album or moves a picture from one album to another....it screws up the image links.

thats the app screwing up the ad placement. I will address that as well.

I read somewhere that you guys now have an option to 'roll back' to a previous version using itunes. I have no idea how because i dont know crap about apple products, but it might be worth something to look into.

Why does it bother you? I do it because I've seen pics from this site (even pics I've taken) show up on other boating forums, instagram and FB ....and not giving proper credit for their source. I know you're a guy against 'the man' so I hope you can understand when 'the man' in our industry is taking advantage of a grass roots site such as this one.
