If you ladies would roll out for the Tom Papp Memorial in Jan. at Elsie, you could kill two birds at one time.

I don't wanna volunteer my buddy before I can ask him, and I know he is going to Bonneville sometime in Jan. but he is a professional photographer for a hot rod magazine.   I'm sure he would come with me if I asked him.

I told him to put it on his calender.  Dunno if he can make it or not but he said he would be there if he doesn't have any "real" jobs that weekend.

It is if no one has an 8'   ::)

I heard the city ramp is closed but maybe you can still drive down it.  Then the "ferry" ride (NOT that kind of ferry Vegas peeps) over to the cove would be short.  I don't mind but if it has to ride from the West marina I might not have room.  Course I could leave the Bloody Marys instead I suppose   ;)

thanks for takin that initiative GC.

just curious...what would you guys prefer? a calendar of pro-shots at an event like the TPM?

or pictures of boats/people hangin out at the river/lakes/races from the past year.

i started gathering pictures last year for the 2009 calendar, but it just never happened.

If i do a collection of pictures from 2009 for the 2010 calendar, i can have it put together and printed before the first of the year. IF we go with a pro foto guy and take pics at the TP memorial, who knows when the calendar would come together.

Let me know what your thoughts are. I can get this thing pieced together this weekend and sent off for pressing first thing next week. Hell, maybe even have it done for xmas.   ;)

Honestly Brad I like your idea mo better.   My buddy will be there IF he doesn't have a car show to do, nothing in stone.   He just happens to be a first mate that makes a living shooting cool stuff.  He also is going "prima dona" on me and wants a ladder, maybe a deckboat, blah blah blah.  I just figured we could slap it together and give it away for next to nothing.
I like the events/meet&greets idea better and you have all the cool race pics anyway.  Maybe we'll just put 'em up on F-book or something.

I might bring a coworker that does pics for 1320 magazine to the Tom Papp outing.  He catches some good shots of the drag cars, so he should be able to get some good shots of the stuff parked on the beach  ;D

I know this is a long time coming, but I just started the layout for the 2011 calendar. I have about 75 pictures picked out from throughout the year that various people have taken at various get togethers and racing events.

I have yet to decide on a printing service. I have a few in mind, but not sold on a particular one. If anyone has any suggestions or has any experience with this, let me know.
