a kids perspective
« on: July 08, 2008, 07:58:07 PM »
so we finished eating dinner tonight and the wife took my son (2 1/2yrs old) to the "potty" (we are trying to potty train him), all went good and she left the diaper off him, he has been doing very well so far, so he is on the couch watching cars (for the 3rd time today) my mom, wife and myself are in the kitchen talking when we turn around and see my son standing on the arm of the sofa peeing on the table right next to him (again he is 2 1/2), my wife starts to yell at him, "what are you doing?", without missing a beat or stopping he looks right at her and says "i am cleaning it", my mom and myself had to leave the room, we were both in tears laughing, he was so proud of himself that he was "cleaning" the table.

Nothing compares to being a Dad!!!

Got a cool story to tell about it, one night when my son was about 3 or 4 I hear him get up the bathroom light comes on and I hear him take a leak. Flush, light out, couple of steps.... he says Dad, I can't find my room!. Without missing a beat I yell back "try where you left it" he says ok. I get a SAM! and an elbow to the ribs from my ex. But I hear him climb back into bed and all is well lol. Then there was the time when I was changing his diaper and his butt blew up on me... but that's another story!

A friend of mines family told me a story about  him. His dad had a Harley and kept talking about how cool it was to get his harley painted, aparently he just got a bitchen paint job. Wel Billy, my bud, hooked him up one day while he was at work with a new paint job with whatever paints were in the garage.

Following a theme here.

We were remodeling the kitchen in our old house, my daughter was almost three, I had all of the cabinets and drawers removed to reface the cabinets, so Saturday morning comes and my little girl comes out to eat some cereal, walks into the kitchen, sees that the drawers are gone and says "where are the fork and spoons", now remember, she's almost three so she didn't say it perfectly clear (say it fast) My wife yells out "what did you just say!" she repeats "where are the fork and spoons" still not real clear so my wife just looks at me (I thought I was dead) then we finally figured out she needed a spoon for her cereal and the drawers were in the other room, the tension in the air turned to side splitting laughter.

To this day, my whole family never misses an opportunity to say "where's the fork and spoons"...
