a proper name
« on: November 07, 2013, 12:29:06 AM »
Up late just thinking.  When I was young all my friends family boats had names ie. "Super Douche" "Gass Pain" ect. So now I have a new to me  boat my 1978 Tarva I bought from my neighbor. A few years ago he was on his way to the river he left our area and headed out when he was about 10 miles from home and just getting on the 57 fwy off lambert rd in brea calif. someone was honking at him the kids in the car were yelling! "There is a cat in your boat!" well my cat Ripley was famous for getting into cars that had the windows down.and apparently she also liked boats!! Well he called to see if anyone was home to come get her, no one was.So like a better man than I he turned around drove back home and dropped the cat off. NOw I own the boat and I think the only fitting name for it would be "Ripley's Taxi" Is that the proper name or should I be more creative??

An alternative would be to go even more obscure and call it something like "believe it or not" and people would ask and then you could say, well have you ever seen the tv show Ripleys believe or not? Well I have this cat named Ripley, and well..(story)

Either way I like it. :D

That's a cool story and a good story behind the name of the boat no matter what you decide.
