Absolute BS!!!

Some of you fellas might have read my little steering issue. Hondo T Deck with an original frozen cable. No way can I just buy a replacement so it's time to convert to teleflex which I did. Hole in my dash is too big so my guy fabbed up an adopter plate, problem solved right? Wrong! Old steering hub extension won't fit on the teleflex so I'm assuming just buy another one right? Wrong!...

This jetboat industry is simply becoming a monopoly. In all honesty how many marine shops are out there that have parts in stock when we need them and prices are somewhat decent? None!

I simply need a 6 inch steering hub extension for my frigging t deck!!! That's it!!! At this time it's simply impossible to find a stupid aluminum metal billet piece without taking it up the kiester without vasoline.

Saw them at Rex marine for 62 bucks, yeah right, 2 month back order lol. That place is a frigging joke. Called the diverter place in BP they redirect me to something performance up north. They want 180 bucks plus shipping for the same piece. Wtf? Really triple the price? By the time it gets to me I'll be paying 4x the price. I rather die lol. Went to a local marine shop in lake elsinore, the old man that was helping me was shaking so bad and was so old I thought he was gonna drop right then and there...told me he can order it Monday morning and have it there by Thursday. Why monday? I went in at 11am on Friday. Why not order it now. His response was "I'm not sure"...

Wtf!?!?!?!

You seem a little frustrated.

We're all kinda in the same boat.

Cp Performance Rex Marine no matter where its from its overpriced and who knows how much they have on hand however with everything Online and people being able to order a Plethera of parts/stuff on thier own not to mention theres so many different makes and models of everything nowadays no one will have whatever u need everytime off the shelf. It sucks but thats where we are at at this time in the world. Car parts motorcycle parts its all the same theres so much stuff they always gotta order it.

If its made in MERICA' I got no problem waiting for it. I do hate waiting for sh!t from China or anything cheaply made. Guess thats an entire different subject

Im sure we all feel your pain but if our options are limited screw it if u gotta pay and wait for shipping on Monday cause thats when the truck travels your way the quicker your boat will be done. Then you can say yep my boats done u know what I had to do to get it done

Call Eddie Marine.....
And ask them to physically check stock.
I never have problems with them but they are no different than every other shop having to reduce their stock do to the economy.
Eddie makes all their own stuff so back order stuff doesn't take that long, generally.
Tom at Jet Boat Performance had been good to me as well.

That is why I buy almost everything on eBay if I walk into a store to buy something and they do t have it in stock I'm pissed! Cause frankly I can order parts myself on line!!!!!

Call Tom at JBP, you'll have it in two days at a reasonable price. Rex used to be great too, but they seem to be having problems.

I bought my complete rack steering setup from Rodes Way boats. It was everything but the steering wheel. About $175 I think. They're in Upland bout a mile from the 10 fwy.

Thx for the kind words and encouragement but unfortunately I highly doubt I'll have my part this upcoming week. I simply refuse to pay pc or cp or whatever they are called 4x the price...it's outrageous. I'd rather pay a local fab guy 6 times the price to make me a o e of piece then give it to some shop owner so he buy his 5th wife a set of fake titts.

Thx for all the input guys. I swear I gave up on this float after Friday but I guess I'll give Eddie marine a shot tomorrow bright and early. Hopefully they have something for me I tried ebay and of course nothing. I just simply typed in "6 inch steering hub extension" into Google and after the first 3 pages I gave up. There's nothing out there. Wish me luck with Eddie marine tomorrow. I'll need it. Thx again for all the input.

Dig through the catalog.
Get the part number.
Eddie has gotten pretty deep into automotive stuff so their jet/flat stock has dwindled even more so.
The steering extension is a pretty common piece and I've picked up a couple over the years and never had an issue with those being in stock but you never know.

Nope still nothing. I see the steering wheel adapters but no y inch steering hub extensions.

Just hung up with Eddie marine and sure enough they have them in stock in any color you can think of. Thank you guys for the direction. She finally might get wet this weekend. On my way to rancho to pick it up now.

They do their own powder coating (fusion-coat) also....
I don't know about custom colors but I will say they don't carry orange...fuckers.
