« on: March 20, 2008, 08:43:22 PM »
Swear to God this cool little  Sleekcraft 455 Olds and WJ is going to West Africa (Cameroon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameroon) next tuesday, we have to get it into a 20 ft by 7'6" shipping container (interesting since the boat and trailer are 21' X8'  ;) But we find strength in adversity ! The money show up yesterday in my wire tranfer account we'll keep you  posted Thought this might be interesting for you folks Tom

I guess I would move the funds into another account first or something.  That whole Africa/wire transfer thing would scare me too.

Hard to say I'll be the first one to admitt but a wire transfer is a "done deal" its the safest way to make atransaction like this ,we dont take checks or CC's or anything else for that matter (except from Canada) Crazy thing is how the DMV works done Spent two hours in the DMV office yesterday on the "group W bench" Ph*kin terrible  :banghead:

I beg to differ on this one!  Ask me how I got onto the Checksystems system and wont be removed for 3 years or so.  Just let the money sit in the account for 2 weeks or so.  The money that was wire transfered into my account was stolen from someone elses account and I was held liable for the full amount.

Ryan Thanks for the Tip I'll run by my Banker ,Right after the mountain of paper work I'm struggling thru with Dmv US customs was cool the are imfomative and easy to deal with ,re CA dmv its crazy you got to put the boat and trailer in the dealer name (took two hours at DMV)then when the new titles come back you go back to  dmv (in person) ,they copy it and mark it for "export" just a big circle jerk

That is really cool, just imagine the faces of the people who offload that at the docks. I've heard of people sending used car parts to that area, they literally have nothing.
