Android phone users

So I was shown a way to get free apps on Android phones. Like Tapatalk. It works great. I will list directions on how below. I will also list an app that will allow you to turn your phone in to a WiFi hotspot for free. It's better to do this from your phones browser.

Go to www.4shared.com

Sign up and wait for them to verify with an email. From the email link go back to 4shared.com.

Once this is down download the app Blackmart. It should be the top one and is 259mb. You may have to change the phone settings to allow unidentified/untrusted apps.

Once you downlaod that Blackmart app you can search the Apps you want and they are free. I got Tapatalk this way.

Their is another app called FoxFi. This will allow you to turn your phone in to a WiFi hotspot without having to pay through your provider. it works great if you are on the road or a place where you need it for a laptop or tablet.

Not trying to promote anything illegal just passing on some info I was given and tried it out. It does not work on iPhones/iPads.

a good start is to go to their website and see if your device is supported:

http://www.cyanogenmod.com/

MOST of the time "rooting" requires you to do a few simple things in order to gain access to features on your phone that carriers might not want you to have. tethering, unapproved apps, etc.  MOST phones you'll need to downgrade your software version to a early release where an exploit exists to gain "root"...  its a unix term for "adminitrator" or "full access".  once you have root you install some simple tools, such as a "bootloader" that allows you to apply a zip file with a rom on it onto your phone, such as cyanogenmod.  once you have a bootloader you can then "apply update.zip" and it'll install it onto your phone.

if you post up your phone i can find a step for step howto on what you need to do.  or if you're in my area id be happy to do it. usually doesnt take more than 30 mins or so.

the best feature for me is tethering.  especially with unlimited data plans.  i tether my phone to my laptop all the time in airports, in the car, etc.  it basically creates a wifi access point that anything wifi can connect to and allows it to access the internet through your phone.
