The Amino Acids from Detroit. A little surf, a little punk & a Moog theremin. What more do you need?

Here's another band I did some work with in the mid 90's, The Ghastly Ones out of Pasadena.  I was dating a girl, the go go girl in this video, she worked with a guy looking for a hearse.
I found them this one (the Pontiac, not the Caddy) made the thing run good, installed headers, open pipes and flamethrowers (it became the tour vehicle)hell I even drove it in this video.
Went on the road with them for a few tours, man I miss those days, sometimes. Enjoy

No offense intended, quite a compliment actually, they are like a modern version of Dick Dale

Dick Dale was in Santa Cruz last summer, badass music, had no idea the dude was so small. :sly:

I like all kinds of music, but gotta say Surf style is in the top three... 8)

None taken GT. Dick Dale is an ASSHOLE. I had to deal with him after dealing with his booking agent, manager, road manager, and assorted other asshats. He's a pompous arrogant ass. BUT he plays a mean guitar.

Somewhat of a thread jack..

I don't know if I told this story before...

I was at the Cow Palace boat show several years ago (more like 15) and the show was over Superbowl Sunday :screwy:
So I'm working the show selling Monterey boats helping out my then bosses, right across from Advantage Boats and this dude comes walking up to me wearing some Levi's with holes in them and a sleeveless pullover sweatshirt, he starts asking a bunch of intelligent questions and to make a potentially long, boring story short, I sold him a special order 25' Cruiser...Optioned out pretty good, he asked me if I liked The Grateful Dead, I said sure, I like all kinds of music, so he gives me two back stage passes, second row seats, a VIP badge and crew t-shirts for the Shoreline show, he was their production manager (Jerry Garcia was still around then)...pretty cool, that is virtually my best celebrity story... :-\

Maybe other than getting to meet the San Francisco Giants Baseball team and throwing out the first pitch at a game (have the ball and the picture), that was a little over the top...

The show was killer BTW
