Looking for any of you guys that work at a dealership. Have a question?
-
If you have already bought the truck there will be no one to help you. MAYBE take it up with either the owner or district manager.
If you haven't bought it, RUN DON'T WALK to a Ford or Dodge dealer and you MIGHT get lucky. No promises there either but GM just doesn't care about customers.
Or you can get the State involved like I had to . . .

It isn't the truck (although I would debate that too) it is the dealership support. Or total lack thereof. They are just too big to care I guess. They won't get anymore of my money ever. Go ahead prove me wrong. I sincerely hope you do. Nobody deserves the treatment we got.

That happens at all makes of dealers. Had a nissan service manager tell my friends a week ago(right in front of me that the warranty on her 40k car doesn't mean shit and shes not entitled to any repairs. After 20 mins with a manager he was sent home and all the issues she had with her car were repaired.
Dealers are independantly owned. Like any rest or retail store, If you don't like the service at one, find another.

Are you looking to buy? I have a good friend down here in Orange County that sells GMC's. I just bought one from him. If you want to ask some specific questions shoot me a PM, I'll either help myself or get you in touch with my buddy.

my gf got the same treatment at crevier bmw/mini. the car hit 12k miles and we felt it was about time for an oil change. the rep basically told us to pound sand and they wont even LOOK at the car unless the light was on. the oil change/car wash thing was packaged into the price of the car. when asked about a car wash she said that it would be about 4 hours and she could leave the car there. who the hell waits 4 hours to wash a car? i hate STEALerships. they're such a rip off. basically bought a bmw filter online for $7, bmw STEALership wanted like $46. changed the oil with mobil1 synth and the oil that came out of it was BLACK. i can understand not wanting to do an oil change because its a tight motor and they typically run it lean as hell so theres not much blowby but damn. at least say something other than "no the light has to come on, goodbye"

Yeah well I went to 5 different dealerships with different problems and still got no satisfaction. Had one tell me that the fact that my electric window didn't go up was just an "inconvenience". Had a shifter handle come off in my hand and was told "that can't happen". Had a service manager tell me after the third try at fixing the trans "Detroit doesn't know why it won't downshift, but no we won't replace your trans that only has 12K on it."
The shifter took 6 tries to get fixed and they still wouldn't give me a rental car!
Funny how when the state gets involved and you stand in front of the dealership with a bigass sign scaring away customers attitudes change.
Like I said, GM from bottom to top cares squat about keeping customers. All the above problems and more were under warranty, most under 35K miles. But hey go ahead and buy that Silverado. Chevy runs deep alright.

Sorry about the trouble you had Glass, but you could say the same about EVERY car maker and most dealerships. For that matter you can say that about every product and every retailer! You will find people who love what they have and find people who regret the purchase!
Customer Service is non existant...EVERYWHERE!
I have had great experiences with the Chevys and have no reason to not buy another one! Loved my Titan up to the day it was stolen, but dont think it was in anyway superior to anything else I have owned. Dont even get me started and what a GIANT hunk of crap my brothers $54000 Dodge 3500 is that he bought new off the lot!
Will never catch me owning a Ford, ever! ^-^

I hope you continue to be happy with your Chevy. I am now on my third Dodge truck. Zero issues and over 250K miles on the first two. Minor electrical issue now at 70K. My small town dealer is great but expensive, washes my rides even for a $20 oil change.
I wouldn't dismiss Ford so easily, they have a new F150 with a twin turbo'd 6 that gets 24 mpg and makes over 400 ft/lbs of torque. I was thrilled last week when my Mega managed 14 mpg towing to the river. Why would anyone pay $50K for a truck though? My wife bought the Mega 4x4 w/ every option except sunroof OTD $31K.

Fords no better ....How many 6.0 Diesels are driving around that have popped the head gaskets and clogged the EGR coolers because of poor casting defects ... I buy ford because they didnt ask for a bail out , but the should have recalled 6.0s for that problem .....
