So I'm hoping to finally make it out to a meet this year. The videos the Brad makes are great, hoping maybe I can help with some Arial shots this year if brad doesn't mind.

Thanks, but I just purchased a Phantom for this exact reason. I also installed a 2 axis gimbal for smoother shots. Been playing around with it a lot trying to work on smooth sweeping pans for cool shots.

but yeah, youre more than welcome to come out and get some footage to add to the videos.

Nice the gimbal is my next purchase after my boat is done. What gimbal did you get?

Yeah....it was recovered in the employee parking lot....the footage showed it went about a 1/2 mile north into the desert by the farm fields....then the return to home kicked in... And later crashed in the dirt lot. If it went down in the desert, there would have been no way to find it.

First time posting Brad, love the site love boating. (Own a roll bar boat) ;) Saw the topic, thought I might comment.

Two things I've noticed with flyaways. If you are flying in "gps mode" you should be very smooth and no more then 20-50% movement in your sticks. Other is any type of wifi signals, go pro wifi signal being on and flying in GPS mode, can cause flyaways.

Only suggestion I have is, if you notice the quad wanting to lose control, you want to throw it in "manual mode" not "attitude mode" this will turn off all gps signals. It is also difficult to fly in manual mode especially (los) line of sight as you have full control over the sticks. Suggest practicing often.

I've been flying for a few years, I've got an f550, few mini quads for proximity flying and a phantom for the friends to mess with.
