I'm in need of some headers for this deal, the cast iron center risers weigh a ton, anybody running a set of CMI split top headers is it worth going deep in the pocket for these compared too the heavy center risers , I found a deal for a set but they are not cheap.

Well its not going to be a drop and go setup after all, had to cut the rudder arm for clearance  crank pulley lined right up with it  >:(  had to make a bracket for the steering cable also so it lines up with the rudder arm.

Looks like they would work cause, origtinally it had snail logs not much of an angle, my concern is the heat they will build up under the hatch once it's put back on.

If they're water jacketed headers, and it appears that is what your looking at, no real problems. Plumbing them is always an issue, not a problem for you, and they do run hotter (to the touch, not to the engine) so make sure they're clear of everything, hatch, seats, engine cover, potential mates, etc.  AND that your bilge blower is working!

Perfect addition, and really required when droppin in a blown engine!

Now the intake side of that...........

Ray I'm looking at my options for what's headers to go with, I'm looking at a solid used set they're selling for $1000- $2500  for water jacket headers, my question is what about the Bassett threw transom they are not water jacket headers they work off the t valve, so water goes threw only at 3000 RPM'S.

Yeah, enclosed engine, do NOT go with the Bassett's IMHO. Safety over HP in this instance Brian. I'll agree, water jacketed's are pricey, but well worth it in this instance. You have kids, I have kids, Fire doesn't play well with them.

The long and the short of it, we may be discussing somewhere around 60 hp or so going to headers on your blown boat switching from logs to headers? Why not center risers? Far more economical and far less $$$ than water jacketed headers?

You won't lose enough HP to even notice, seat of the pants.  ;)
