Boat Covers??
« on: November 13, 2013, 11:06:03 AM »
Im looking for suggestions on good quality jet boat covers.... Im using one of the "semi-custom fit" ones out of overtons for my 19ft I/O V-hull, but they dont offer one that looks like itd work very well for Jet Boats. I need something to fit nice on my 18ft Bahner with OT headers and withstand atleast a couple seasons of the brutal high desert sun and winds!! Thanks- Jake

gotta splurge and get a custom one made.  no one makes an "out of the box" cover for a jet boat that fits worth a damn.

For the cost of a good boat cover you could buy a tin garage. And it will last much longer

Funny you say that... Ive actually been looking into a metal carport or garage. I have an existing 31x31 slab on my property thats just dying to have something on it, but the old pocket book doesnt quite agree with my shop dreams! :banghead: Guess ill have to settle for a carport and boat cover.....

I have seen deals lately for 15x30's for like 2k and it's a steel tube skeleton with tin panels secured to it. Just gotta keep your eyes open and look around.

X2

My cover (All american Canvas, Montclair, Ca) 17 years old, (1996) still decent shape, the vinyl at the corners and bow have come apart over the last several seasons.

Went the expensive route before... I now have a walmart breathable silver cover with a harbor freight grey tarp on top to keep the weather off breathable one. Keeps the moisture down to near none this way.
