6 o'clock in the morning and I see the thread title and that the last poster was Flytime.  I think to myself "why is he posting this kind of news at 6 in the morning???"   Now I see that Bob is NOT the new owner.  Situation normal I guess.   sigh   :screwy:

Ok I'm not going well it just yet I need to make sure I like the new boat more than I like the Caribbean I will be selling. I was going to post it on Craigslist for 14k Obo but if any of my SCJB Brethren are interest pm me and we will work something out.

It's a 94 Caribbean by Hardin 250ish hrs on the boat but the pump was done by Jim at Cyclone Marine about 2 seasons ago. Jim put int the hardened shaft, inducer and did his signature blue printing to it. The end of last season I put a droop & ride plate on it. The motor has about 3 seasons with on it about 40 hours. 454 bumped a little. There's way too much to list so if your interested PM me your #.

Congratulations Mark.  I can't wait to see it.
It is my birthday today but I bought myself an early present back in December.  I have wanted one since I was 16 years old.
It was made by Pontiac back in 1967.  It has 3 letters in the name.  It is still over at JMS Racing getting prettied up.  I can't wait to get it back.
No I won't be towing the Hallett with it.  ;) LOL
Later my friend.

So we took the new boat to the river a few weeks back. Four adults and two babies this thing would barley get up on plain and then would only do 33 mph at 4500 RPM. I was so pissed I headed right back to our beach and tied up the boat. I pulled the hand hole off and checked the impeller all looked good. Now I'm thinking it's just to heavy of a boat for a jet so I'm thinking Fock this I selling this POS! I decide to call my buddy Dustin at Menace Marine and tell him about it, he assures me there has to be a problem bring it in and he will find it. I dropped the boat off at Menace Marine last Wednesday, Dustin calls me the next day and tells me good news your pump looks great. Bad new is they forgot to install the wear ring when the built the pump. Dustin installed the wear ring then lake tested it. Dustin said it jumped right up on plain and now does 60mph on GPS. So bottom line is the boat was wrong from day one and the guy I bought the boat from never new because this was his first boat. Looks like we'll be keeping it.

Thanks Dustin at Menace Marine in Valencia....

Guy I bought the Spectra from complained because a relative had "taken it out and did Aged knows what and I cant figure it out. Motor runs great."
Got it towed home and found a cardboard 30 pak beer wrapper sticking out of the intake grate.

It was obviously "set up" to not exceed the normal 35mph speed limit of most lakes  :screwy:

5oclocksomewhere I was curious if you had some pics of the motor, interior ect. I have the same but in Red (93 Hardin). I have it in the shop at the moment getting the interior re-done. What MPH do you normally get? I seem to be stuck around 50ish. was hoping you have better and could tell me what you have done to the boat. Congrats on the new ride!

Well I have not done a damn thing to the Hallett but Jeff has.
I am driving up to Riverbank (Smooth As Glass) on Thursday and bringing the Hallett back on Friday.
I'm in for Mothers Day at the AVI.
I'll see my SCJB brothers and sisters soon.  8)

Well the Hallett is back in the garage as of 4:00 PM 17 April.  Man I hate that 5 hour drive to Riverbank and 5 hours back, but I sure do love the metal flake work that Jeff Glow does.  8)
Stay thirsty my friends, the AVI Mothers Day trip is just around the bend.  ;)

It runs & starts great. Boat rides awesome. I love the fuel injection. Fuel Milage is pretty decent for such a heavy boat with a jet. I usually run it about 4100 which is around 45mph. It tops out at 60mph wide open. It's gets out of the whole and up on plain with ease. Not a speed demon but an all around great boat.
