CA Tax Refunds

I did some googlin on this, but didnt find anything on it other then the initial announcement back in january that they were doing 30 day IOU's.

did anyone file their taxes after the state annonced it was giving IOU's? if so, have you gotten it back yet? how long did it take?

I filed an extension on my taxes for 2008 and im finally getting around to it. im getting quite a bit back from the state (more then fed) and my tax guy said dont expect to see the state return anytime soon....he couldnt give me any more info other then that.

so whats your experiences with your CA tax refunds?

I did my taxes back in febuary and I haven't recieved my return yet. (I lived in California until febuary of 09)

I did mine on Feb 15th, and received my refund by direct deposit within 4 weeks. I think the IOU's were for those that submitted before the joke of a state budget was passed. Since they doubled or in some cases tripled the car registration fees they were able to get enough money to pay what they owe......

You had better get something !
Last year when I bought my truck, registration was $420.
Registration this year was $525 !

They have literally taken ALL my money $:-\$

i like how im getting several variations.....some got it within a few weeks, some got a check they cant cash for a few weeks, some havent gotten shit.

im submitting today electronicly with direct deposit, we'll see what happens...hope for the best.
