fathers day weekend was not a good day=my bearing siezed up on the jet so i went home and got my spare jet and installed it at the lake=when putting it in the water their was a small fan shaped spray coming from under the mounting flange= is it possible that the torque from seizing up could crack an intake

I'm no expert on pumps, but if your pump actually siezed, there had to be some shear force on the rest of the components. I'd say it's posssible

I saw an intake crack at the front once on a Berkeley, the boat was running flat out and picked up a rock the size of a golf ball or a little bigger and lodged in the inducer wheel, this boat had about 475 HP and was turning about 5,500 RPM, those pumps are pretty strong, not saying its not possible, just unlikely, maybe a bad gasket or bottomed out pump to intake bolts?

The Biggest opportunity for intake cracks are from debris injested ,removal /and reinstallation or UPS  drivers :banghead: Suctions crack for lots of reasons ,most commonly thru the "clean out" area from "shock loading" and exploding impellers ,rocks etc .Will be very curious to see when you get the pics call if you need help Tom
