Saw the topic, thought I might comment.
Two things I've noticed with flyaways. If you are flying in "gps mode" you should be very smooth and no more then 20-50% movement in your sticks. Other is any type of wifi signals, go pro wifi signal being on and flying in GPS mode, can cause flyaways.
Only suggestion I have is, if you notice the quad wanting to lose control, you want to throw it in "manual mode" not "attitude mode" this will turn off all gps signals. It is also difficult to fly in manual mode especially (los) line of sight as you have full control over the sticks. Suggest practicing often.
I've been flying for a few years, I've got an f550, few mini quads for proximity flying and a phantom for the friends to mess with.
